SHOWCASING JUKEJOINT

2024 is shaping up to be a great year for the Band as you'll see on our GIGS page, featuring all the venues we've played recently, plus confirmed bookings to date.

A significant event on our calendar was an invitation to be part of the Blues at the Point Festival on 2nd March, joining a line-up of '7 of the best' Nelson bands.  And
what an event!  1,200 fans turned up for this celebration of the Blues  - and what a brilliant audience they turned out to be (check out the videos below - Max Suckling , our 'go to' video guy, might just have captured you on film!)

First up Big Boss Man, followed by Spell on Me.

Definitely not our normal  sort of gig, but we were delighted to be invited by Kate at the Nelson Classic Car Museum to play at this fantastic event.

Attended by hoards of PetrolHeads - several Band members among them - it was a great opportunity for us to get an up-close, under-the-hood view of more than 100 classic cars.  Bit hard tearing ourselves away long enough to entertain the guests!

Check out the beaut pics below (including of course, several of the Band, plus some very talented dancers (great moves, guys!)

Definitely a standout gig.  Perfect weather, spectacular venue, GREAT audience.  Quite possibly  the most memorable gig we've ever played.  Click on the video below - you'll see what we mean!

 -  a jukejoint retrospective

The video below takes a nostalgic look at JUKEJOINT in the early days, as a 4-piece band, with Paul, Denny, Rich and Nev in the lineup.  It was recorded at CLUB WAIMEA and THE BOATHOUSE, and showcases  tracks:  Mystery Train, Route 66, Jukejoint Jump, Why Are People Like That? and Muskrat.  It also features a guest appearance by the legendary Marcus Roebuck of Boogie Train and Rubber Biscuit Band.  Enjoy!
